Licentiat in psihologie si drept, doctor in psihologie judiciara, profesor universitar, a activat timp de 35 de ani in domeniul criminalisticii. A adus importante contributii teoretice si practice in privinta tacticilor criminalistice si in domenii ale psihologiei judiciare cum ar fi investigarea comportamentelor simulate, problematica interogatorului, a martorilor si a marturiei, a relatiei victim-agresor, a mecanismelor psihologice ale actului infractional. Este prim expert in tehnica poligraf (Lie Detector), fiind cel care a introdus pentru prima data in Romania aceasta tehnica. In calitate de psiholog criminalist expert in detectia comportamentelor simulate si ca sef de laborator la Serviciul Criminalistic al Politiei Capitalei, a contribuit la solutionarea unor cauze complexe.

He has a degree in law and psychology and a PhD in forensic psychology, he is a university professor, and has 35 years of experience in forensics. He brought important contributions to the theory and practice of forensic techniques and in specific areas of the domain, such as investigation of simulated conduct, interrogation, aspects regarding witnesses and testimonies, the relation between victim and aggressor, the psychological aspects of criminal acts. He is prime expert in Lie Detector technique as he is the specialist who first brought the polygraph to Romania. As a forensic psychologist specialized in detecting simulated conduct and chief of laboratory at Capital Police – Forensic Service he contributed to solving a number of complex cases.

Ştefan Iulian-Laurenţiu este promoter-ul domeniului forensic psychology în Romania şi organizatorul primului curs de formare profesională în expertiză psihologică în ţara noastră. Este doctor în psihologie cu o teză vizând Discernământul şi Expertiza psihologică, specializat postdoctoral în expertiză psihiatrică medico-legală sub egida Institutului de Medicină Legală din Iaşi. Preşedintele Institutului de Psihologie Judiciară este licenţiat în psihologie şi ştiinţe juridice la Universitatea din Bucureşti, fiind specializat postuniversitar în Justiţie şi Afaceri Interne – JAI, la aceeaşi instituţie de învăţământ. A urmat mai multe stagii de formare în Marea Britanie la University of London şi University of Leeds.

Ştefan Iulian-Laurenţiu is a promoter of the forensic psychology field in Romania and the initiator ofthe first professional training programme in forensic psychology in our country. He has a PhD in psychology with a thesis regarding discernment and psychological expertise, he is specialized postdoctoral in psychiatric forensic expertise under The Institute of Forensic Medicine in Iasi. The president of the Institute of Forensic Psychology has a psychology and law degree as well as a postuniversitary specialization in Justice and Internal Affairs – JAI at the University of Bucharest. He has attended a number of professional trainings at The University of London and The University of Leeds in UK.

Dr. Lenore E. Walker, autoare a lucrarii “Femeia maltratata” pentru care a primit in 1979 premiul mass – media Distinguished este psiholog in SUA unde a fondat Institutul pentru Violenta Domestica in cadrul caruia a studiat tiparul comportamental al abuzului. Numele ei a fost inscris in Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in 1987. Dr. Lenore E. Walker este unul dintre initiatorii domeniului violentei domestice si are o contributie importanta in dezvoltarea de strategii, politici, programe de formare, reforme legislative atat la nivel local, national cat si international. Participa deseori ca martor-expert in instanta in cazuri de abuz.

Dr. Lenore E. Walker is an American psychologist who founded the Domestic Violence Institute, documented the Cycle of abuse and wrote The Battered Woman, for which she won the Distinguished Media Award in 1979. She was inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in 1987. Dr. Lenore E. Walker has been a pioneer in the field of domestic violence in her private practice as well as on state, national, and international levels. She has been instrumental in the design and development of policy, training programs, and legislative reform and frequently testifies as an expert witness in legal actions involving abused persons.

Doctor in psihologie, a lucrat 28 de ani in Administratia Nationala a Penitenciarelor si in unitatile subordonate; a fost primul director al Penitenciarului de Maxima Siguranta Bucuresti-Rahova. Sustine cursuri de psihologia personalitatii, psihologie judiciara si penitenciara, constructia penalitatii contemporane, psihologie militara, psihologie managerial, psihologie educational si a carierei, psihosociologia prevenirii criminalitatii. Membru al unor organizatii neguvernamentale din tara si strainatate: Salvati copiii, Liga Romana de Sanatate Mintala, Penal Reform International (Londra), Asociatia Europeana de Psihologie si Drept (Nurnberg).

Has a PhD in Psychology and 28 years of activity at the National Administration of Prisons and subordinated units, was the first warden of Rahova Maximum Security Prison in Bucharest. He teaches university courses of personality psychology, forensic and penitentiary psychology, the construction of contemporary penalty, military psychology, management psychology, educational and career psychology, the psycho – sociology of crime prevention. He is a member of multiple nongovernmental organizations from Romania and abroad: Save thechildren, The Romanian League of Mental Health, Penal Reform International (London), The European Association of Law and Psichology (Nurnberg).

Ethical Constraints in Forensic Practice

 

Dr. David L. Shapiro a fost considerat parintele psihologiei clinice judiciare in 1972. Prima lui carte despre evaluarea clinica judiciara a aparut in 1983 si ea era singura carte care aborda, la acel moment , evaluarea intr-o maniera aplicativa. Pana in prezent a scris cinci manuale si peste cincizeci de articole referitoare la jonctiunea psihologiei cu dreptul. Abordarea sa cuprinzatoare asupra evaluarii clinice judiciare a fost popularizata si utilizata ca punct de plecare pentru numeroase carti de specialitate si programe de formare.

Dr. David L. Shapiro has been called the Father of clinical forensic psychology, from 1972. His first book on forensic assessment appeared in 1983 and was the only book at that time to approach forensic assessment from the point of view of actual issues encountered in practice rather than from a theoretical basis. Since that time, he has authored five more textbooks and four dozen peer reviewed articles dealing with the interface of psychology and law. His comprehensive approach to forensic assessment has been widely distributed and used as models for various books and training programs.

Dr. Veronika A. Polisenska este cercetator la Institutul de Psihologie din cadrul Academiei de Stiinte din Republica Ceha. Este licentiata a Universitatii din Liverpool in Psihologie investigativa si a Universitatii Masayk din Brno in domeniul Psihologie. A obtinut doctoratul in psihologie sociala la Universitatea Masayk din Brno. Este vice presedinte executiv al Uniunii Asociatiilor de Psihologi din Republica Ceha. Tine cursuri la Universitatea Masayk din Brno si la Universitate Anglo Americana din Praga. Activitatea ei profesionala este concentrata in jurul cercetarii asupra fenomenului reintegrarii sociale a infractorilor, si modificarile ce survin in tiparul comportamental al infractorilor ce incalca drepturile de proprietate.

Dr. Veronika A. Polisenska is researcher at the Institute of Psychology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech republic. She has graduated from the University of Liverpool (Investigative Psychology) and Masaryk University in Brno (Psychology). She has received her PhD in Social Psychology at Masaryk University in Brno. She is Executive vice-president of the Union of Psychologists’Associations of the Czech republic. She lectures at Masaryk university in Brno as well as Anglo-American University in Prague. Her research involves the reintegration and resocialization of offenders into society, influences on strategy and spatial behavior of property offenders.

În anul 2013 a finalizat cursuri postdoctorale în domeniul managementul cercetării avansate și expertizei psihiatrice medico-legale. A participat la seminarii de formare în Child Custody Evaluation (Dr. Elizabeth Ellis din Duluth-USA, 2014) Forensic Assessment of Child Maltreatment & Forensic Assessment of the Juvenile Defendant (susținut de Human Development Center din USA , 2005), Online abuse and investigations (susținut de Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center din UK, 2008), Intoduction to Family Therapy I and II (susținut de Denver Family Institute din USA, 2003), Police Investigation of Child Abuse Crimes & Therapeutic work with sexually abused children (susținut de Swedish Save the Children, 1998).

He has a psychology and social assistance degree since 1998 and attended post universitary specialization in probation and forensic psychology. He has a PhD in phylosophy, sociology domain. In 2013 he graduated post doctoral studies in advanced research management and psychiatric forensic expertise.
